As some people asked what about the international Serie A rights, I try to clarify a couple of question.
The following clubs signed have sold their international TV rights to the Media Partner & Silva agency until 2009:
Milan - Juventus - Inter - Roma - Lazio - Fiorentina - Genoa - Torino - Cagliari - Catania
The agency already had contracts with Torino, Cagliari, Catania and Ascoli (relegated) and sold this rights to various TV stations like TPS, Polsat, Arena and SportKlub. Now Media Partner & Silva bought the rights for the big seven clubs too and sold this bigger package to Canal + France, Digital +, FIVE, Canal + Poland and other channels.
Remember, the following (permanent!) score board will be used, and it seems also in the upcoming season as the graphics were used during the last Fiorentina and Inter friendly games. It´s a good news because the picture quality is better too.
O.K., let´s come to the other teams whose rights are in the hands of Rai Trade & Sportfive
Palermo - Sampdoria - Reggina - Parma - Siena - Livorno - Atalanta - Udinese - Empoli - Napoli
Rai Trade & Sportfive holds the rights since the last season or since 2005-06, I'm not sure but in every case until the end of 2008/09. The big question is: Are these international rights still sold (to Premiere, Digital +, Canal + France... all pay-tv's who had shown the big clubs during the last two seasons) or is it necessary to reach new agreements?? So far, I haven´t read about new contracts... this could be a good sign and in this case Canal + France, Digital + and Co. could show every Serie A game.
Sorry for the lots of postings I'm writing about the Serie A but I really love this league although many people can´t understand this.
